Telemedicine in Illinois.

Illinois permits telehealth prescribing under the Illinois Telehealth Act (225 ILCS 150). An Illinois-licensed physician can establish the patient relationship through online intake review — no in-person visit is required for peptide or GLP-1 prescribing. Pepti is available in all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

The Chicago metro is one of the largest telehealth markets in the Midwest, with strong GLP-1 and peptide-therapy demand.

What to expect

A typical course of TB-500 in Illinois.

TimeframeWhat patients commonly report
Weeks 1–2Many patients report less soreness and easier movement in the injured or inflamed area.
Weeks 3–6Recovery-focused changes tend to build with consistent daily use; this is where most patients notice the difference.
Weeks 6–12 and onRecovery benefits tend to hold with continued use. Many patients stay on it long term for ongoing support, with the dose adjusted by their physician.
Individual results vary. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved; a licensed physician determines whether treatment is appropriate and monitors your progress.

The science

How TB-500 works, and what the research shows.

How it works

Thymosin Beta-4 (TB-500) is a 43-amino-acid peptide that promotes cell migration, differentiation, and tissue repair at a systemic level.

It works by binding to actin, supporting wound healing throughout the body — not just at one site.

Clinical evidence

  • Thymosin Beta-4's tissue-repair biology is well characterized: it promoted cardiac cell migration and survival after injury in influential animal work and supports corneal and dermal wound healing in preclinical models.

    Bock-Marquette et al., Nature 2004
  • Synthetic Tβ4 has reached human trials for wound healing and eye conditions with encouraging safety but limited efficacy data.

  • TB-500, the widely used fragment of Tβ4, has not itself been through human clinical trials.
