Every Pepti prescription is written by an independent physician licensed in your state, after a review of your intake, identity, history, medications, and labs where the medication needs them. This page is the whole process: what is checked, who qualifies, who is declined, and what happens after approval.

Pepti's medical team is led by board-certified physicians who set the clinical protocols every reviewing physician follows. They are independent medical professionals, not Pepti employees, and the prescribing decision is theirs alone.

Medical intake
Your goals, health history, current medications, allergies, sex, height, and weight. Medications and allergies are mandatory — the intake will not submit without them, and "none" is an answer. Incomplete or inconsistent answers are a reason to decline.
Identity verification
A photo of your government-issued ID, matched to the name and date of birth on your intake. No prescription is written for an unverified identity.
Contraindication screening
The physician screens your history and conditions against the medication requested. For GLP-1s that means personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN-2, pancreatitis, and pregnancy or planned pregnancy. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are screened for every treatment.
Medication interaction check
Your current medications are checked against the request. Examples the physician looks for: a GLP-1 with insulin or a sulfonylurea (hypoglycemia risk), a GLP-1 with warfarin, PT-141 with uncontrolled blood pressure.
Labs, where the medication needs them
Bloodwork is required before 10 medications are prescribed: the GLP-1s and every growth-hormone secretagogue. You can upload a recent lab report from any lab, or order Pepti's at-home panel. The intake names exactly which medication on your order needs labs, so a three-medication order is not held for all three.
Decision within 24 hours
The physician approves, places the request on hold to ask you a question through your account, or declines. A declined medication is refunded in full; on a multi-medication order only the declined line is refunded and the rest proceeds.
Who qualifies, and who we decline.
Not all patients qualify. Being declined is a clinical decision, not a paperwork one, and it is always refunded.
You can be prescribed when

- Your medications, allergies, and history are complete and consistent with your ID and labs
- Nothing in your history contraindicates the medication requested
- For GLP-1s: no personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN-2, no history of pancreatitis, not pregnant or planning pregnancy
- For medications that require labs: recent bloodwork on file before the prescription is written
We decline when
- A contraindication in your history, or a medication interaction the physician judges unsafe
- Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or planned pregnancy during treatment
- Incomplete, inconsistent, or false intake answers, or an ID that does not match
- A request the physician does not consider clinically appropriate for you, for any reason — the decision is the physician's alone
- Anyone under 18, outside the United States, or ordering for someone else
Pepti does not prescribe controlled substances.
Doses, refills, and staying in touch.
Treatment is long-term, so the rules after approval matter as much as the review. Physician care, refill management, and messaging are in your monthly price; a stack of two or more medications is 5% off each on every refill.
The dose is the pharmacy's, not a guess
Every medication ships with a fixed pharmacy directions sheet (the sig) for that exact vial or cartridge, written in units, not a model-drafted dose. Your physician can adjust it from the chart without an appointment, and a change moves your refill date with it.
Increasing a dose
You ask from your account or the app. Your physician approves or declines. If approved, you pay the additional medication at the pharmacy's cost and the new dose applies to the next shipment. GLP-1s step up one strength at a time on the pharmacy's ladder; they are never doubled.
One vial per month
A monthly fill is one vial, cartridge, or bottle. Nothing extra is dispensed without a physician-approved dose change and a charge for it.
Refills are authorized, then reviewed
Your physician authorizes a set number of refills at approval. Each refill is reviewed before it goes to the pharmacy — timing, payment, and any change in your history — rather than sent automatically forever.

Questions, side effects, and dose concerns go through your account or the app at no extra cost. Most replies come within 24 hours. Emergencies go to 911, not the app.
Pause or cancel anytime
Cancelling stops all future refills and charges immediately from your account. There is no contract and no cancellation fee.
