Ipamorelin Dosage: How Pepti Prescribes It, in Units, mL and mcg

This page explains the ipamorelin dosage Pepti prescribes, what the units on the syringe mean, a dosage chart that converts units to millilitres and micrograms, the ipamorelin in every Pepti blend, when it is taken, what the published studies used and why that is not a dose, what changes the directions, and the side effects to know about. It covers how Pepti's ipamorelin is typically prescribed, not dosing protocols from the internet. Nothing here is a reason to change your own dose.

Ipamorelin (Injectable)
Ipamorelin$239/mo

At Pepti, ipamorelin is prescribed as 0.25 mL, which is 25 units on a U-100 insulin syringe, injected under the skin Monday through Friday nights at bedtime. The vial is 5 mL at 1 mg/mL, so each dose carries 0.25 mg (250 mcg) of ipamorelin and the vial holds 20 doses, about four weeks. Your physician sets your directions after reviewing your intake, and your exact dose and units are printed on the vial. Blends that contain ipamorelin use the same 25 unit draw, but at higher concentrations, so the same 25 units carries more ipamorelin.

Ipamorelin Dosage

The short answer

Product Vial Typical directions Ipamorelin per dose Doses per vial Price
Ipamorelin 5 mL, 1 mg/mL (5 mg per vial) Inject 0.25 mL (25 units) subcutaneously Monday through Friday nights at bedtime 0.25 mg (250 mcg) 20 $239/mo
CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin 5 mL, CJC-1295 1.2 mg/mL + ipamorelin 2.4 mg/mL Inject 0.25 mL (25 units) subcutaneously once daily Monday through Friday on an empty stomach 0.6 mg, with 0.3 mg CJC-1295 20 $239/mo

Every price is all-in, covering medication, physician review, refill management and shipping, with no separate membership fee. Pepti is cash-pay and does not bill insurance. These are the typical printed directions; your own directions are the ones on your vial.

Ipamorelin Dosage

Ipamorelin dosage in units, mL and mcg

Pepti's directions are written in two forms, millilitres and units, because prescriptions are written in millilitres and insulin syringes are marked in units. On a U-100 insulin syringe, 1 unit is 0.01 mL, so 100 units is 1 mL and 25 units is 0.25 mL. A unit is a volume mark on the barrel, not a measure of how strong the medication is.

The amount of ipamorelin in that volume comes from the concentration on the label. Pepti's single-peptide ipamorelin is supplied at 1 mg/mL, so:

What you read Value Where it comes from
Dose volume 0.25 mL Printed on the vial
On a U-100 insulin syringe 25 units 0.25 mL x 100 units per mL
Concentration 1 mg/mL Printed on the vial
Ipamorelin per dose 0.25 mg, which is 250 mcg 1 mg/mL x 0.25 mL
Total in the vial 5 mg in 5 mL Printed on the vial
Doses per vial 20 5 mL divided by 0.25 mL

Online sources often quote ipamorelin in micrograms (mcg) rather than milligrams (mg). 1 mg is 1,000 mcg, so 0.25 mg and 250 mcg are the same amount. Mixing the two up is a thousandfold error, which is one reason to read your own label rather than a forum post.

That arithmetic is a way to read a label, not a way to set a dose. A vial labelled 5 mg is not a 5 mg dose: it is twenty 0.25 mg doses. If your label and your syringe seem to disagree, do not dose; message your care team. How long does a peptide vial last explains every number on a vial label in more detail.

Ipamorelin dosage chart: units to mL to mcg

The chart below is the conversion for Pepti's 1 mg/mL ipamorelin vial, drawn with a U-100 insulin syringe. It is math only. It is not a menu of doses, and the only line that applies to you is the one that matches the number printed on your vial.

Syringe mark (U-100) Volume Ipamorelin from a 1 mg/mL vial
5 units 0.05 mL 0.05 mg (50 mcg)
10 units 0.1 mL 0.1 mg (100 mcg)
15 units 0.15 mL 0.15 mg (150 mcg)
20 units 0.2 mL 0.2 mg (200 mcg)
25 units (Pepti's typical directions) 0.25 mL 0.25 mg (250 mcg)
30 units 0.3 mL 0.3 mg (300 mcg)
40 units 0.4 mL 0.4 mg (400 mcg)
50 units 0.5 mL 0.5 mg (500 mcg)
100 units 1 mL 1 mg (1,000 mcg)

The rule behind every row: units divided by 100 gives millilitres, and at 1 mg/mL the millilitres and the milligrams are the same number. That shortcut only works at 1 mg/mL. A chart written for a different concentration gives different figures for the same units, which is the main reason not to dose from a chart, including this one.

Ipamorelin Dosage

Ipamorelin in every Pepti product that contains it

Ipamorelin is one of the most widely used ingredients in Pepti's catalog. Every product below is a 5 mL vial drawn at 0.25 mL, 25 units, 20 doses per vial. What changes is the concentration, and so the ipamorelin each 25 units carries, and the timing on the label.

Product Ipamorelin concentration Directions Ipamorelin per dose Price
Ipamorelin 1 mg/mL 0.25 mL (25 units) Monday through Friday nights at bedtime 0.25 mg $239/mo
Tesamorelin + Ipamorelin 1 mg/mL, with tesamorelin 2 mg/mL 0.25 mL (25 units) Monday through Friday nights at bedtime 0.25 mg $259/mo
Ipamorelin + Sermorelin 2 mg/mL, with sermorelin 2 mg/mL 0.25 mL (25 units) Monday through Friday nights at bedtime 0.5 mg $219/mo
PHYSIQ Blend 2 mg/mL, with tesamorelin, AOD-9604 and MOTS-c 0.25 mL (25 units) Monday through Friday nights at bedtime 0.5 mg $289/mo
SHRED Blend 2 mg/mL, with AOD-9604, CJC-1295 and MOTS-c 0.25 mL (25 units) once daily Monday through Friday 0.5 mg $279/mo
CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin 2.4 mg/mL, with CJC-1295 1.2 mg/mL 0.25 mL (25 units) once daily Monday through Friday on an empty stomach 0.6 mg $239/mo
ASCEND Blend 2.4 mg/mL, with CJC-1295, tesamorelin and IGF-1 LR3 0.25 mL (25 units) Monday through Friday nights at bedtime 0.6 mg $289/mo
REVIVE Blend 2.4 mg/mL, with GHK-Cu, CJC-1295 and TB-500 0.25 mL (25 units) Monday through Friday nights at bedtime 0.6 mg $279/mo
SERENITY Blend 2.4 mg/mL, with DSIP, Selank and CJC-1295 0.25 mL (25 units) Monday through Friday nights at bedtime 0.6 mg $279/mo
TITAN Blend 2.4 mg/mL, with tesamorelin, CJC-1295 and BPC-157 0.25 mL (25 units) Monday through Friday nights at bedtime 0.6 mg $289/mo

Two things stand out. First, the volume never changes: every product here is 25 units. Second, the ipamorelin in those 25 units ranges from 0.25 mg to 0.6 mg depending on the vial. That is why "how many units of ipamorelin" has no single answer outside your own label.

In a blend, every ingredient is in fixed proportion. One 0.25 mL draw delivers all of them in the ratio the pharmacy compounded, and there is no way to take more ipamorelin and less of something else from the same vial. If a different balance is wanted, that is a different prescription. The pairing with CJC-1295 has its own page, CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin, and the other pairings are covered in what is ipamorelin + sermorelin, what is tesamorelin + ipamorelin and PHYSIQ vs SHRED vs TITAN.

Ipamorelin Dosage

How long an ipamorelin vial lasts

At Pepti's typical directions, one 5 mg vial lasts four weeks:

Step Value
Dose 25 units, 0.25 mL, 0.25 mg
Doses per week 5 (Monday through Friday)
Doses per vial 20 (5 mL divided by 0.25 mL)
Ipamorelin used 20 x 0.25 mg = 5 mg, the whole vial
Time per vial 20 doses divided by 5 per week = 4 weeks

Four weeks is why refills run every 28 days, one vial per fill. Vials are multi-dose solutions shipped ready to use, refrigerated with ice packs, with sterile syringes and alcohol prep pads. Nothing is mixed at home. Keep the vial in the fridge between doses, and follow the beyond-use date printed on the label, which runs from first puncture. How to store peptides covers storage.

If a vial runs short before the refill, message your care team rather than adjusting anything yourself. If you miss a dose, follow your directions and do not take two doses to make up for one.

When to take ipamorelin

  • At bedtime

Pepti's ipamorelin directions say nights at bedtime. Growth hormone is released in pulses, and the largest natural pulse of the day occurs in the first hours of deep sleep. Ipamorelin prompts the pituitary to release a single pulse of its own growth hormone; in the 1999 volunteer study that pulse peaked at about 40 minutes and faded to negligible levels. A dose at bedtime places that pulse alongside the one the body is already producing, rather than after a meal, which is described as blunting the response.

  • Monday through Friday

The five-nights-on, two-off pattern is a prescriber convention rather than a schedule derived from trials. Prescribers describe the two nights off as a way of keeping the pituitary responsive. It also makes the vial arithmetic clean: 20 doses at five a week is exactly four weeks. Weekends off are part of the schedule, not missed doses.

  • Under the skin

Subcutaneous means into the fat layer, not the muscle. Abdomen and thigh are the usual sites, rotated so the same spot is not used repeatedly. Technique is covered in how to inject peptides safely.

Directions say What it means in practice
0.25 mL (25 units) Draw to the 25 mark on a U-100 insulin syringe
Subcutaneously Into the fat layer, abdomen or thigh, rotating sites
Monday through Friday Five doses a week, weekends off
Nights at bedtime Shortly before sleep
20 doses per vial About four weeks, then the next refill

Not every ipamorelin product carries the same timing. CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin is labelled once daily on an empty stomach, and SHRED once daily without a stated time. Follow the timing on your own label.

Ipamorelin Dosage

What the studies used, and why that is not your dose

People search for an ipamorelin dosage expecting a dose from a trial. There is very little human data to take one from, and none of it used the route Pepti prescribes:

Study Who How it was given What it measured
Pharmaceutical Research, 1999 Healthy male volunteers Intravenously, at five dose levels Growth hormone release and how the body clears ipamorelin: a half-life of about two hours, a single growth hormone peak at about 40 minutes
International Journal of Colorectal Disease, 2014 Adults recovering from bowel resection Intravenously, twice daily in hospital, for up to seven days Gut recovery after surgery; no significant difference from placebo
Founding animal work, European Journal of Endocrinology, 1998 Pigs Injected at a range of doses Growth hormone release without raising ACTH or cortisol, even at more than 200 times the half-maximal dose

The honest reading is that there is no human study of subcutaneous ipamorelin at all. The FDA's 2024 briefing document for its advisory committee noted exactly that. The bedtime, five-nights-a-week schedule in common use comes from the physiology of the nocturnal pulse and from prescribing experience, not from a dose-finding trial. That is why your directions come from a physician who has reviewed your intake, not from a study table. What the research has and has not looked at, one claim at a time, is in ipamorelin benefits.

Ipamorelin Dosage

What changes the directions

Your physician sets your directions after reviewing your intake. Things that can lead to different directions, or a different product, include:

What can change How it shows up
Ipamorelin alone or paired Each blend has its own label, concentration and timing
Your medical history Diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance, a cancer history, untreated sleep apnoea or a pituitary condition change the conversation
Your other medications Anything that affects blood glucose, and testosterone, belong on the intake; the intake asks for everything you take
How you respond Puffiness, joint aches or tingling hands go to your physician, who may revise your directions

When directions change, the new numbers are printed on the new label. Never carry a number over from a previous fill. Bloodwork is not required for any Pepti treatment. If your physician wants labs for your care, they'll ask through your account.

Side effects, in summary

Ipamorelin was reported as well tolerated in the volunteer study and in the seven-day surgical trial. The fuller safety picture for ipamorelin and its most common pairing is in is CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin safe.

What is reported What it usually means What to do
Injection-site redness or soreness The commonest complaint Rotate sites
Headache, flushing or warmth after a dose, light-headedness Short-lived effects reported at compounded doses Report it if it persists
Hunger after a dose Ipamorelin acts at the receptor ghrelin, the hunger hormone, uses Report it, particularly if weight is a concern
Vivid dreams with evening dosing Reported with evening growth-axis dosing Report it
Fluid retention, joint aches, tingling hands The recognised pattern of growth hormone above what a person needs Message your care team; do not change the dose yourself
Facial or throat swelling, widespread rash, breathing difficulty A serious allergic reaction Call 911 or get emergency care first, then tell your physician

Who should not take ipamorelin, or should discuss it first: anyone with a personal history of cancer, because growth hormone and IGF-1 are growth signals; anyone with diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance, because growth hormone opposes insulin; anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, where it is not used. Tested athletes should know the 2026 WADA Prohibited List names ipamorelin under S2.2.4, growth hormone releasing factors, prohibited at all times.

Ipamorelin left Category 2 of the FDA's interim 503A list on 27 September 2024, and on 29 October 2024 the FDA's advisory committee voted 0 to 12, with one abstention, against adding it to the 503A Bulks List for the two uses it examined. That vote is advisory and no final rule has been issued. Compounded ipamorelin is not FDA approved, and compounded medications are not FDA approved.

Where to get ipamorelin prescribed

Ipamorelin cannot be bought legitimately without a prescription. Sites selling it "for research use only" are not accountable for what is in the vial: identity, purity, sterility and concentration are untested, so even the concentration your units chart depends on is unknown. The prescription route:

  1. Complete a free online intake covering your history, medications and what you want help with.
  2. A physician licensed in your state reviews it, usually within 24 hours.
  3. If it is appropriate, a PCAB-accredited, FDA-registered US 503A compounding pharmacy prepares it to that prescription. Lot test results are published at /quality/lab-results.
  4. It ships refrigerated with your directions printed on the vial.
  5. Your physician stays reachable for questions and dose changes.
