DSIP Dosage: How Pepti Prescribes Delta Sleep Inducing Peptide, in Units, mL and mg
This page explains the DSIP dosage Pepti prescribes, what the units on the syringe mean, a dosage chart that converts units to millilitres and milligrams, why DSIP is taken at bedtime, how long a vial lasts, why the published human studies do not give you a dose, what can change your directions, and the side effects to know about. It covers how Pepti's DSIP is typically prescribed, not dosing protocols from the internet. Nothing here is a reason to change your own dose.

At Pepti, DSIP is prescribed as 0.25 mL, which is 25 units on a U-100 insulin syringe, injected under the skin Monday through Friday nights at bedtime. The vial is 5 mL at 1 mg/mL, so each dose carries 0.25 mg of DSIP and the vial holds 20 doses, about four weeks. Your physician sets your directions after reviewing your intake, and your exact dose and units are printed on the vial. The SERENITY blend uses the same 25 unit draw at bedtime and carries DSIP at the same 1 mg/mL, so each draw also holds 0.25 mg.

DSIP Dosage
The short answer
| Product | Vial | Typical directions | DSIP per dose | Doses per vial | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| DSIP | 5 mL, 1 mg/mL (5 mg per vial) | Inject 0.25 mL (25 units) subcutaneously Monday through Friday nights at bedtime | 0.25 mg | 20 | $249/mo |
| SERENITY Blend | 5 mL, DSIP 1 mg/mL + Selank 1 mg/mL + CJC-1295 1.2 mg/mL + ipamorelin 2.4 mg/mL | Inject 0.25 mL (25 units) subcutaneously Monday through Friday nights at bedtime | 0.25 mg, with 0.25 mg Selank, 0.3 mg CJC-1295 and 0.6 mg ipamorelin | 20 | $279/mo |
Every price is all-in, covering medication, physician review, refill management and shipping, with no separate membership fee. Pepti is cash-pay and does not bill insurance. These are the typical printed directions; your own directions are the ones on your vial.
DSIP Dosage
DSIP dosage in units, mL and mg
Pepti's directions are written in two forms, millilitres and units, because prescriptions are written in millilitres and insulin syringes are marked in units. On a U-100 insulin syringe, 1 unit is 0.01 mL, so 100 units is 1 mL and 25 units is 0.25 mL. A unit is a volume mark on the barrel, not a measure of how strong the medication is. Units only mean something alongside the concentration printed on the label.
The milligram figure comes from that concentration. Pepti's DSIP is supplied at 1 mg/mL, so:
| What you read | Value | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Dose volume | 0.25 mL | Printed on the vial |
| On a U-100 insulin syringe | 25 units | 0.25 mL x 100 units per mL |
| Concentration | 1 mg/mL | Printed on the vial |
| DSIP per dose | 0.25 mg (250 micrograms) | 1 mg/mL x 0.25 mL |
| Total in the vial | 5 mg in 5 mL | Printed on the vial |
| Doses per vial | 20 | 5 mL divided by 0.25 mL |
That arithmetic is a way to read a label, not a way to set a dose. A vial labelled 5 mg is not a 5 mg dose: it is twenty 0.25 mg doses. If your label and your syringe seem to disagree, do not dose; message your care team. How long does a peptide vial last explains every number on a vial label in more detail.

DSIP dosage chart: units to mL to mg
People search for a "DSIP dosage chart" because online doses are quoted in micrograms, milligrams and units interchangeably, and the numbers only line up if you know the concentration. The chart below is the conversion for a 1 mg/mL vial, the concentration of both Pepti's DSIP vial and the DSIP in SERENITY, drawn with a U-100 insulin syringe. It is math only. It is not a menu of doses, and the only line that applies to you is the one that matches the number printed on your vial.
| Syringe mark (U-100) | Volume | DSIP from a 1 mg/mL vial |
|---|---|---|
| 5 units | 0.05 mL | 0.05 mg (50 micrograms) |
| 10 units | 0.1 mL | 0.1 mg (100 micrograms) |
| 15 units | 0.15 mL | 0.15 mg (150 micrograms) |
| 20 units | 0.2 mL | 0.2 mg (200 micrograms) |
| 25 units (Pepti's typical directions) | 0.25 mL | 0.25 mg (250 micrograms) |
| 30 units | 0.3 mL | 0.3 mg (300 micrograms) |
| 40 units | 0.4 mL | 0.4 mg (400 micrograms) |
| 50 units | 0.5 mL | 0.5 mg (500 micrograms) |
| 100 units | 1 mL | 1 mg (1,000 micrograms) |
The rule behind every row: units divided by 100 gives millilitres, and at 1 mg/mL the millilitres and the milligrams are the same number. A chart from another source, written for a different concentration, will give different milligram figures for the same units. That is the main reason not to dose from a chart, including this one.
DSIP in the SERENITY blend
SERENITY holds four peptides in fixed proportion: 5 mg DSIP, 5 mg Selank, 6 mg CJC-1295 and 12 mg ipamorelin in 5 mL. One 0.25 mL draw delivers 0.25 mg DSIP, 0.25 mg Selank, 0.3 mg CJC-1295 and 0.6 mg ipamorelin together. There is no way to take more DSIP and less of something else from the same vial; if a different balance is wanted, that is a different prescription. More is in what is the SERENITY blend.
DSIP Dosage
How long a DSIP vial lasts
At Pepti's typical directions, one 5 mg vial lasts four weeks:
| Step | Value |
|---|---|
| Dose | 25 units, 0.25 mL, 0.25 mg |
| Doses per week | 5 (Monday through Friday nights) |
| Doses per vial | 20 (5 mL divided by 0.25 mL) |
| DSIP used | 20 x 0.25 mg = 5 mg, the whole vial |
| Time per vial | 20 doses divided by 5 per week = 4 weeks |
Four weeks is why refills run every 28 days, one vial per fill. Vials are multi-dose solutions shipped ready to use, refrigerated with ice packs, with sterile syringes and alcohol prep pads. Nothing is mixed at home. Keep the vial in the fridge between doses, do not freeze it, and follow the beyond-use date printed on the label, which runs from first puncture. How to store peptides covers storage.
If a vial runs short before the refill, message your care team rather than adjusting anything yourself. If you miss a night, follow your directions and do not take two doses to make up for one.

When to take DSIP
At bedtime
Pepti's DSIP directions say Monday through Friday nights at bedtime. DSIP is described in research as a modulator of sleep architecture, the shape of the night, rather than a substance that forces sleep. It also disappears fast: about eight minutes in human plasma, because blood peptidases clip it apart. Any effect is described as a signalling event rather than a drug level held through the night, and the label places that dose at bedtime, alongside the sleep it is described as modulating.
Not like a sleeping tablet
In the first healthy-volunteer study, subjects felt a "pressure to sleep" during the infusion but two hours later showed no sleepiness and no impaired performance. People expecting the heaviness of a sleeping tablet are usually surprised by how little they notice going in. That is described, not a fault in the dose.
Monday through Friday
The five-nights-on, two-off pattern is a prescribing convention, not a schedule taken from the trials, which used intravenous infusion. It also makes the vial arithmetic clean: 20 doses at five a week is exactly four weeks. Weekends off are part of the schedule, not missed doses.
Under the skin
Subcutaneous means into the fat layer, not the muscle. Abdomen and thigh are the usual sites, rotated so the same spot is not used repeatedly. Technique is covered in how to inject peptides safely.

What the studies used, and why that is not your dose
DSIP has more human data than many compounded peptides, but none of it was done the way it is prescribed today:
| Study | Who | Route |
|---|---|---|
| Lancet and Experientia, 1981 | Six middle-aged chronic insomniacs, crossover against placebo | Intravenous infusion before bed |
| European Neurology, 1987 | Fourteen chronic insomniacs, seven consecutive nights, compared with normal sleepers | Intravenous |
| International Journal of Clinical Pharmacology Research, 1987 | Crossover against placebo nights | Intravenous; no significant difference from placebo |
| Neuropsychobiology, 1992 | Sixteen chronic insomniacs, parallel groups | Intravenous; effects judged weak |
| European Neurology, 1984 | 107 inpatients in alcohol or opiate withdrawal, open-label | Intravenous |
The FDA counted roughly 209 people across this work, all treated intravenously, none after 1992. The researchers also found the infusion itself mattered: a one-minute infusion did nothing, and the sleep effect appeared in the second hour. So there is no study that sets a subcutaneous bedtime dose, no human safety data for that route, and the longest human course on record is fifteen days. That is why your directions come from a physician who has reviewed your intake, not from a study table. What the research has looked at, finding by finding, is in DSIP benefits.

What changes the directions
Your physician sets your directions after reviewing your intake. Things that can lead to different directions, or a different product, include:
| What can change | How it shows up |
|---|---|
| DSIP alone or in SERENITY | SERENITY has its own label, with Selank, CJC-1295 and ipamorelin in every draw |
| What is driving the poor sleep | A stress-driven bad patch, long-standing insomnia, an off rhythm or a breathing problem each lead to a different conversation |
| Your other medications | Opioids, benzodiazepines, sedatives and regular alcohol matter, because the mechanism is described through the body's own opioid system; some blood-pressure medicines inhibit an enzyme laboratory work reports breaking DSIP down |
| How you respond | Headache, vivid dreams, or no change at all go to your care team |
When directions change, the new numbers are printed on the new label. Never carry a number over from a previous fill. Bloodwork is not required for any Pepti treatment. If your physician wants labs for your care, they'll ask through your account.
DSIP is not a treatment for sleep apnoea or any sleep problem with a breathing cause. Cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia is the first-line recommendation of every major sleep guideline, and it is reasonable to do that first or alongside. The wider category is in peptides for sleep.

Side effects, in summary
| What is reported | Where it comes from | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Injection-site redness, mild soreness, occasional bruising | What prescribers report today | Rotate sites |
| Early headache or vivid dreams | What prescribers report today | Report it if it persists |
| Transient headache, nausea, vertigo; low blood pressure at the first injection in two cases | The 107-patient withdrawal series, in people whose symptoms were hard to attribute | Report anything like it |
| A reaction that is severe, spreading, or involves difficulty breathing | Rare | Emergency care first, then contact your physician |
In the small intravenous insomnia studies, DSIP was reported as well tolerated with no significant adverse events, and the FDA's search of its adverse event reporting system for emideltide, through March 2024, returned zero reports. There is no human safety data for the subcutaneous route, no long-term data and no established interaction list. DSIP is not used in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tested athletes should check the current prohibited list for their sport.

DSIP and the FDA, briefly
The FDA calls DSIP emideltide. It was placed in Category 2 of the 503A bulk substances list in 2023 and removed on 15 April 2026. On 24 July 2026 the Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee voted 6 in favour, 7 against, with 1 abstention, and so did not recommend adding it to the 503A Bulks List. The vote is advisory, the FDA's final determination is pending, and DSIP remains legal to prescribe and dispense. Compounded medications are not FDA approved, and DSIP is not approved for anything. More is in are peptides FDA approved.

Where to get DSIP prescribed
DSIP cannot be bought legitimately without a prescription. Sites selling it "for research use only" are not accountable for what is in the vial: identity, purity, sterility and concentration are untested, so even the concentration your units chart depends on is unknown. The prescription route:
- Complete a free online intake covering your history, medications and what you want help with.
- A physician licensed in your state reviews it, usually within 24 hours.
- If it is appropriate, a PCAB-accredited, FDA-registered US 503A compounding pharmacy prepares it to that prescription. Lot test results are published at /quality/lab-results.
- It ships refrigerated with your directions printed on the vial.
- Your physician stays reachable for questions and dose changes.
Pepti prescribes DSIP in every state except Oklahoma, plus DC Step by step: how to get DSIP prescribed online. The full product reference is what is DSIP. If your rhythm rather than your depth of sleep is the problem, what is Epithalon covers the peptide described around the pineal gland.

Common questions
DSIP Dosage, answered.
DSIP is typically prescribed as 0.25 mL, which is 25 units on a U-100 insulin syringe, injected subcutaneously Monday through Friday nights at bedtime. From the 1 mg/mL vial that is 0.25 mg per dose. Your physician sets your directions after reviewing your intake, and your exact dose is printed on the vial.
The amount printed on your vial, on the schedule printed on your vial. Pepti's typical directions are 25 units five nights a week, but your own directions are set by your physician after reviewing your intake. If you have questions about your dose, message your care team.
The number printed on your vial. Pepti's typical directions are 25 units, which is 0.25 mL on a U-100 insulin syringe, where 1 unit is 0.01 mL.
From a 1 mg/mL vial, 250 micrograms, which is 0.25 mg. 10 units is 100 micrograms and 50 units is 500 micrograms. Those figures only hold at 1 mg/mL.
The chart above converts units to millilitres to milligrams for a 1 mg/mL vial, the concentration of Pepti's DSIP and of the DSIP in SERENITY. It is a conversion, not a list of doses to choose from.
At bedtime, Monday through Friday nights, as the label says. DSIP is cleared from the blood in minutes, so any effect is described as a signal around the start of sleep rather than a level held through the night.
About four weeks. A 5 mg vial at 25 units (0.25 mg) five nights a week is 20 injections, which uses the whole 5 mg in four weeks, matching the 28-day refill.
The draw is the same, 0.25 mL or 25 units, and the DSIP per dose is the same 0.25 mg, because both hold DSIP at 1 mg/mL. Each SERENITY draw also delivers Selank, CJC-1295 and ipamorelin.
No. Take the dose printed on your vial, on the schedule printed on your vial. DSIP is not a sedative, and no study shows more of it does more. Noticing nothing is an answer for your care team, not a reason to change the dose yourself.
Tell your physician about any opioid, benzodiazepine, sedative or regular alcohol use, because DSIP's mechanism is described through the body's own opioid system. Do not stop a prescription sleeping medication without your prescriber.
No. Pepti vials are multi-dose solutions shipped ready to use, with sterile syringes and alcohol prep pads. Nothing is reconstituted at home.
