ELEVATE Blend Benefits: What the Research on Semax, Selank, BPC-157 and KPV Actually Shows

This page takes each claimed benefit in turn and says which component it comes from, what was studied, in what, and how much weight it can bear. It is organised by benefit, not by molecule. For the full product reference, the FDA history and how a vial is used, read what is the ELEVATE blend.

Semax (Injectable)
Semax$229/mo

The benefits claimed for the ELEVATE blend come from research on its four components separately, because the blend itself has never been studied, in people or in animals. Semax has Russian clinical series in stroke and cerebrovascular disease, Selank has small Russian comparator trials in diagnosed anxiety, BPC-157 has a large rat literature on the gut lining, and KPV has cell work and mouse colitis models with no human trials at all. No trial of any component has measured focus, memory or mood in healthy adults. ELEVATE is a compounded prescription injection at Pepti, and compounded medications are not FDA approved.

ELEVATE Blend Benefits

The short answer

Claimed benefit Component What the evidence is Strength of evidence
Neurotrophic signalling (BDNF) Semax Rat (Brain Research 2006; Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology 2010) Preclinical only
Recovery after stroke or cerebrovascular disease Semax Russian clinical series (1997, 2005, 2018), intranasal Human, in patients with brain injury; not healthy adults, not this route
Mood-related measures under stress Semax Male rats under chronic stress (European Journal of Pharmacology 2024) Preclinical only
Anxiety Selank Small Russian comparator trials against benzodiazepines (2008, 2014), intranasal Human, in diagnosed anxiety; no placebo arm
GABA and enkephalin signalling Selank Rat membranes (2018); human plasma enzyme work (2001) with a 2008 patient correlate Mostly preclinical, one human marker
Protection of the gut lining BPC-157 Rat models of NSAID- and alcohol-induced damage and inflammatory bowel models Preclinical; early-phase human work in inflammatory bowel indications
A brain-gut link BPC-157 Rat work summarised in two reviews from one group (2016, 2022) Preclinical, single research group
Calmer gut inflammation KPV Cells and mouse colitis (Gastroenterology 2008; Inflammatory Bowel Diseases 2008) Preclinical only; no human trials
Focus, memory or calm in healthy adults Semax and Selank No study None
Doing more together than any one alone All four No study None

The honest summary of the table: four separate literatures of very different depth, the human parts in sick populations on a different route, and nothing on the combination.

ELEVATE Blend Benefits

What ELEVATE is, in one paragraph

ELEVATE is four independently studied peptides dissolved together in one 5 mL vial: 5 mg Semax, 5 mg Selank, 10 mg BPC-157 and 10 mg KPV. Semax is a seven-amino-acid analogue of a fragment of ACTH and Selank a seven-amino-acid analogue of tuftsin, both developed in Russia. BPC-157 is a fifteen-amino-acid fragment of a protein from human gastric juice, and KPV is the last three amino acids of alpha-MSH. The rationale prescribers give is that the brain and the gut are treated as one system: two neuropeptides and two gut peptides in one injection. By mass the vial is two-thirds BPC-157 and KPV. None of the four is a hormone, a stimulant or a growth hormone secretagogue.

ELEVATE Blend Benefits

Benefit 1: Neurotrophic signalling (Semax)

What the research describes. The most cited mechanism is a 2006 paper in Brain Research, which reported that Semax increased BDNF protein and TrkB receptor phosphorylation in the rat hippocampus, alongside more conditioned avoidance responses in the treated animals. A 2010 paper in Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology reported the same neurotrophin signalling switched on selectively in ischaemic tissue in rats with a blocked cerebral artery.

Evidence type. Animal.

What it means. BDNF is the reason Semax is described around attention and learning. Both findings are in rats, and neither measured anything a person would notice. This is where the "cognitive" label on ELEVATE starts, and it is a mechanism, not an effect in people. More is in Semax benefits.

ELEVATE Blend Benefits

Benefit 2: Recovery in neurological disease (Semax)

What the research describes. Semax has the largest human literature of the four, and it is in patients with brain injury rather than healthy people. A 1997 controlled clinical study in the Korsakov Journal of Neurology and Psychiatry compared 30 acute ischaemic stroke patients given intranasal Semax alongside standard care with 80 conventionally treated patients and reported faster regression of deficits. A 2018 trial from the same group in 110 stroke patients reported higher plasma BDNF and better Barthel Index scores in the Semax subgroups, and a 2005 evaluation of 187 patients with chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency reported clinical improvement and good tolerability.

Evidence type. Human, in patients, intranasal.

The limits. All used the intranasal product registered in Russia, not a subcutaneous injection, and the FDA's July 2026 review could not use most of them because complete English translations were not supplied. The FDA also found no published literature on subcutaneous Semax. This is not a use Pepti prescribes ELEVATE for, and anyone recovering from a stroke belongs with their neurology team.

ELEVATE Blend Benefits

Benefit 3: Mood-related measures under stress (Semax)

What the research describes. A 2024 paper in the European Journal of Pharmacology reported that daily low-dose Semax counteracted the loss of sucrose preference and the fall in hippocampal BDNF in male rats under chronic unpredictable stress.

Evidence type. Animal.

Strength. One rat study. Sucrose preference is a laboratory stand-in for mood, not a measure of how a person feels. No trial has measured mood in people on Semax.

ELEVATE Blend Benefits

Benefit 4: Anxiety (Selank)

What the research describes. Selank has controlled human trials: Russian, small, compared against an active benzodiazepine rather than placebo, and not described as randomised or blinded in the published abstracts. A 2008 paper in the Korsakov Journal treated 62 patients with generalised anxiety disorder or neurasthenia with Selank or medazepam and reported a similar anxiolytic effect, with Selank described as mildly activating rather than sedating. A 2014 paper compared it with phenazepam in 60 patients and reported an effect persisting about a week after the last dose.

Evidence type. Human, in diagnosed anxiety, intranasal.

The limits. No placebo arm, no replication outside Russia, and a different route. A 2021 review in the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology characterised Selank as poorly studied outside its country of origin. ELEVATE is not a treatment for a diagnosed anxiety disorder, and existing psychiatric treatment comes first. More is in Selank benefits.

ELEVATE Blend Benefits

Benefit 5: GABA and enkephalin signalling (Selank)

What the research describes. A 2018 paper in Protein and Peptide Letters reported, in rat brain-cell membranes, that Selank changed GABA binding in the manner of a positive allosteric modulator of the GABA-A receptor, the receptor family benzodiazepines act on, by a different binding pattern. A 2001 paper in the Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine reported that it inhibited the enzymes that degrade leu-enkephalin in human plasma, and a 2008 clinical paper measured the same marker rising in patients during treatment.

Evidence type. Mostly animal and laboratory, with one human marker.

What it means. The enkephalin finding is the one mechanism in ELEVATE with a human correlate. A change in a blood marker is not a change in how someone feels, and nobody has measured either after a subcutaneous dose.

ELEVATE Blend Benefits

Benefit 6: Protection of the gut lining (BPC-157)

What the research describes. BPC-157's original and largest literature is gastrointestinal: rat work describing protection of the gastrointestinal lining against NSAID- and alcohol-induced damage and improvement in inflammatory bowel models. Animal work describes it activating the VEGFR2 receptor and nitric-oxide signalling, the axis the body uses to grow new blood vessels into healing tissue.

Evidence type. Animal, with early-phase human work in inflammatory bowel indications.

What it means. This is where the animal evidence in ELEVATE is deepest. There are no large randomised controlled trials of BPC-157 in humans. It is not a treatment for a diagnosed inflammatory bowel disease or a structural gut problem, which belong with the specialist treating them. More is in BPC-157 benefits.

ELEVATE Blend Benefits

Benefit 7: A brain-gut link (BPC-157)

What the research describes. A 2016 review in Current Neuropharmacology and a 2022 review in Neural Regeneration Research, both from the Zagreb group that has produced most of the BPC-157 literature, summarise rat work describing the peptide acting on the brain-gut axis: on dopamine and serotonin systems, on behaviour in stress models, and on gut function at the same time.

Evidence type. Animal, from a single research group.

What it means. This is the described basis for pairing BPC-157 with two neuropeptides in one vial. It is a framing, not a treatment claim, and it has not been tested in people.

ELEVATE Blend Benefits

Benefit 8: Calmer gut inflammation (KPV)

What the research describes. A 2008 paper in Gastroenterology reported that KPV is carried into intestinal epithelial cells by PepT1, the transporter the gut lining uses to absorb small peptides from food, and that it reduced NF-kB activation and cytokine output in cells and in mouse colitis. A 2008 paper in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases reported less histological inflammation in two mouse colitis models. A 2008 review in Endocrine Reviews sets out why the isolated tripeptide keeps alpha-MSH's anti-inflammatory signalling and loses its pigment effect.

Evidence type. Cell and animal.

The limits. KPV has no human trials of any kind. Most of its gut work gave the peptide by mouth, because of the PepT1 transporter, and the subcutaneous route has not been compared. More is in KPV benefits.

ELEVATE Blend Benefits

Benefit 9: Focus, memory or calm in healthy adults

What the research describes. Nothing directly. No trial has measured attention, memory or mood in healthy adults on Semax or Selank, by any route. The FDA's July 2026 Semax briefing recorded that ADHD "was not evaluated because supporting literature for this use was not found."

What prescribers report. Some people describe less reactivity to stress, less mental fatigue late in the day, or a gut that is less of a daily presence; some describe nothing. These are patterns described by prescribers, not trial endpoints, and nobody can attach a number or a date to them.

Evidence type. None direct.

What it means. This is the benefit most people have in mind, and it is the one with the least behind it. Poor focus has common, findable causes, among them poor sleep, thyroid problems, low B12 and low mood, which a physician considers first. Peptides for brain fog and focus sets out that order.

ELEVATE Blend Benefits

Benefit 10: The combination itself

What the research describes. Nothing. No study has looked at the four together, and none has compared the blend with any one component.

What it means. The case for ELEVATE is a clinical rationale: one injection for someone whose complaint spans both head and gut. It is not a finding that four peptides do more than one. The trade-off of any blend is that the ratio is fixed, and a dose of ELEVATE carries half the Semax and Selank of the single-peptide vials.

ELEVATE Blend Benefits

What the evidence does not establish

  • That the four peptides together do more than any one alone.
  • Any effect on focus, memory, mood or anxiety in healthy adults.
  • Equivalence between the intranasal route of the Russian studies and subcutaneous injection.
  • An effect size or a timeline in people. Timelines given by prescribers are clinical experience, not trial endpoints.
  • Long-term safety over years of continuous use, for the blend or any component.
  • Efficacy for any condition as an FDA-approved treatment. Neither ELEVATE nor any component is approved for anything in the United States.
