Nobody can tell you how long kisspeptin will take to work for you, because no study has measured a weekday course of subcutaneous kisspeptin-10, which is how it is prescribed. What the research does show is timing in a narrower sense: in human studies, single intravenous doses raised LH and testosterone within the hour, twice-daily injections of kisspeptin-54 for two weeks stimulated the hormone axis before the response faded, and twice-weekly injections for eight weeks sustained it. Those are hormone measurements from different forms and routes, not a timeline for how a person feels.

None of these used Pepti's form, kisspeptin-10, by the subcutaneous route on a Monday-through-Friday schedule for weeks. Hormone changes within the hour are a measurement in a research unit, not something a person feels.

Why "how long does it take" has no trial answer
Three gaps sit between the studies and your vial.

Kisspeptin-10 is cleared within minutes, which is part of why research on it used short infusions and timed blood draws. The study endpoints were hormone levels or brain scans recorded in a clinic. None measured how someone felt across a month of daily life. So the honest answer to "how long" is a description of what was measured, not a number of days.

What each line of research tells you about timing
Hours: the hormone response in men
The Imperial College work gave kisspeptin-54 intravenously to healthy men (JCEM 2005), then kisspeptin-10 as a single bolus or short infusion (JCEM 2011). LH rose, LH pulses became more frequent, and testosterone rose. The hormone changes appeared within the hour. A 2013 paper in Clinical Endocrinology reported LH and testosterone stimulated in men with type 2 diabetes and mild biochemical hypogonadism, again with intravenous kisspeptin-10.
What this shows: the axis responds quickly to a dose given straight into a vein. What it does not show: what a subcutaneous course does to testosterone over weeks. No trial has measured that. The FDA's 2024 review of kisspeptin-10 for secondary hypogonadism in men found the studies too small and exploratory to support a conclusion on effectiveness.
Two weeks versus eight weeks: the schedule finding
The most useful timing result in the kisspeptin literature is about scheduling rather than speed. In women with hypothalamic amenorrhoea, twice-daily subcutaneous kisspeptin-54 for two weeks stimulated the axis and then the response faded. Twice-weekly injections for eight weeks sustained it. Continuous exposure blunts the response.
These were small studies, they used kisspeptin-54, and they did not measure restored ovulation or fertility. They are the reason Pepti's directions build in gaps: weekdays on, weekends off.
Single sessions: desire, mood and the brain
The two randomised crossover trials in JAMA Network Open each gave one kisspeptin-54 infusion to people with hypoactive sexual desire disorder, women in 2022 and men in 2023, and measured brain activation on functional MRI during that session, plus penile tumescence in men. The JCI 2017 and JCI Insight 2018 studies did the same in healthy men for emotional processing. Each measured a response during an infusion. None followed anyone for weeks, and none tested a subcutaneous kisspeptin-10 course. More detail is in kisspeptin benefits.
One or two doses: IVF
In IVF trials, a single subcutaneous kisspeptin-54 injection was used as the trigger for egg maturation inside a monitored cycle, with a second dose tested in a 2017 Human Reproduction trial. That is a fertility-clinic setting with a timing built around the cycle, and Pepti does not prescribe kisspeptin as a fertility treatment. See do peptides affect fertility.

- How long a subcutaneous kisspeptin-10 course takes to change testosterone, LH or anything a person notices.
- Whether kisspeptin-54 timings apply to kisspeptin-10.
- An effect on desire in daily life; the trials measured single sessions.
- Safety of repeated subcutaneous kisspeptin-10 over months. The FDA found one study of a single subcutaneous dose in healthy women.
- Any personal timeline at all.
Kisspeptin-10 was placed in Category 2 of the FDA's interim 503A list on 29 September 2023 and remains there on the list updated 14 May 2026; the advisory committee voted 0 to 11 against adding it to the 503A Bulks List on 29 October 2024. Category 2 is a policy position, not a ban, and no final rule has been issued. Kisspeptin is not FDA approved, and compounded medications are not FDA approved. No study has answered that for subcutaneous kisspeptin-10 on a weekday schedule. Human studies measured LH and testosterone rising within the hour after intravenous doses, and two-week and eight-week injection schedules in women with hypothalamic amenorrhoea. None measured how long it takes for a person to notice anything.
In healthy men given intravenous kisspeptin-54 or kisspeptin-10, testosterone rose within hours, measured on timed blood draws. No trial has measured a subcutaneous kisspeptin-10 course over weeks, and it is not testosterone replacement.
Kisspeptin-10 is cleared within minutes. That is why the research used timed infusions and blood sampling, and why a single dose's hormone effect is a short event.
In women with hypothalamic amenorrhoea, twice-daily kisspeptin-54 for two weeks stimulated the axis and then the response faded, while twice-weekly injections for eight weeks sustained it. Continuous exposure blunts the response, so Pepti's directions are Monday through Friday with weekends off.
The studies measured hormones and brain activity, not sensations, so they do not say. Brief flushing is among the side effects reported with injections. If something worries you after a dose, message your care team.
