Best Peptides for Sexual Wellness

Peptides for sexual wellness work through different pathways than traditional ED medications. PT-141 acts on melanocortin receptors in the central nervous system — driving desire rather than vasodilation. Kisspeptin regulates upstream hormone production. Oxytocin influences emotional bonding and intimacy. Each suits a different clinical pattern and works for both men and women.

— How they compare

Ranked on the evidence,
not the margin.

  1. 1
    PT-141 (Injectable)

FDA-approved for HSDD in women (Vyleesi). Works centrally on melanocortin-4 receptors — increases desire, not just blood flow. Effective in both sexes.

    Best for

Anyone whose primary concern is low desire (not erectile function). Particularly useful when PDE5 inhibitors haven't worked.

  2. 2
    Kisspeptin (Injectable)

Upstream regulator of GnRH. Stimulates the body's own testosterone and estrogen production rather than supplementing it.

    Best for

Patients with hormonal-pattern low libido, or those who prefer working with native hormone production.

  3. 3
    Oxytocin

The bonding hormone. Reduces cortisol, enhances emotional connection. Less about performance, more about intimacy and trust.

    Best for

Couples-focused intimacy support; relationship-driven sexual concerns.

— Common questions

Can I combine PT-141 with Viagra or Cialis?

Yes — they work on different pathways (central desire vs peripheral vasodilation) and can be combined under physician guidance. Many men use PT-141 for desire and PDE5 inhibitors for performance.

Does PT-141 work for women?

Bremelanotide is FDA-approved for HSDD in premenopausal women under the brand name Vyleesi. Pepti offers compounded bremelanotide — which is not FDA-approved — prescribed off-label when a physician determines it is appropriate.

How fast does PT-141 work?

Most users feel effects within 2-6 hours of injection. The window lasts 12-24 hours. Take it on demand, not daily.
